$100 helps provide music therapy services for one patient

While in the hospital, children often experience fear and anxiey or a general lack of control. Music therapy is a way for patients to relax and express themselves. Individual and group music therapy sessions help patients and their families cope with hospitalization and improve patients' physical, psychological and emotional health. Professional, trained music therapists use a variety of musical experiences including songwriting, playing instruments, singing and listening to music.

Your generous gifts allow us to provide music therapy services, recorded music at patients' bedsides for long hospitalizations and mp3 players for patients to use during painful procedures to reduce agitation and anxiety.

Eighteen-month-old Luke is all grins when music therapist Lisa Jones begins playing the guitar.
